Marstall Fohlen-Aktiv is a concentrated starter muesli for foals, suitable for introduction into the feeding programme from the second week after birth. Its specially developed formula combines high-quality amino acids, skimmed milk powder, hydrothermally processed cereal flakes and rapeseed oil containing fatty acids, including omega-3. The composition is designed to meet the nutritional needs of growing foals.

Added calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, zinc and organic selenium complement the nutritional profile. The combination of amino acids, vitamins and trace elements supports normal bone, joint and muscle development, as well as the general vitality of young horses.

Feeding Recommendations

The following quantities are intended as a guide for foals from breeds with an expected adult weight of approximately 550-600 kg.

For foals aged 9-36 months, the manufacturer also provides an alternative feeding programme using Fohlen-Mix + Complete. Follow the current manufacturer's feeding chart when selecting the appropriate combination.

Adjustments according to breed:

• Small horses and ponies: approximately 50% less.
• Thoroughbreds: approximately 10-15% less.
• Cold-blooded breeds: approximately 20-25% more.

Important Feeding Instructions

Due to its high concentration of vitamins, minerals and trace elements, this product must only be fed according to the recommended quantities. Divide the daily ration into several small portions.

The manufacturer's recommendations are based on providing approximately 1.5 kg of roughage (hay) per 100 kg of body weight per day. Adjust the amount according to the foal's age, weight, breed and overall feeding programme.

The product is stated to have been approved by the anti-doping commission on 28 April 2011. For competition animals, always check the current regulations of the relevant federation.
